Week 11

I might have gained a little weight since I have been here, but not too much since my clothes do not feel any different. This week was good and disappointing at the same time. A bunch of our scheduled appointments fell through, and nobody was really home so we only taught five lessons. We have found a some more potentials, I just hope we can start teaching some of them. We did have a cool experience yesterday though that made the whole week worth it. We were visiting a potential who was not home and we started to get into the car. Then these two kids come up and ask if we are elders. We started talking to them and they said that they used to go to church and the older one was going to get baptized but they had to move to New Zealand. They told us where they live and said they wanted us to come over. The younger one who is now 8 said that he wants to go back to church. They are Maori which means that they are more likely to get baptized. We were also able to get a hold of the missionaries who were teaching them and got some information on the family. Also one of the missionaries that was teaching them went home, but is now living pretty close by and he said that he is willing to help teach them. We are going to go see them this week and hopefully start teaching them.

For P days mostly we just play sport. One of the members in another ward has a tennis court at their house and tells the missionaries to just come at any time. We do that most weeks even if it is really quick since everyone but me in the flat played tennis in high school. I have been getting better at it,but always at a disadvantage. sometimes we go to a chapel and play some sport and have lunch together. Today we are going to play capture the flag. It is really nice that most flats have washers in them so we do not have to spend time worrying about laundry.

I honestly do not know how big my area is. I think it is a medium area. It is half as big as it used to be because they split it when I came in. We have a car about half the time and I enjoy biking. You talk with more people that way, and I am not tired like I used to be when I was first here. I might like biking a bit less when it gets really hot. It is really nice having a zone leader car because they get heaps of km's that they can't use them all if they tried. It will be weird having to be carefull how I use them in the future when I do not have that luxury.
