We get our transfer
calls today but since I am with the Zone Leaders they tell us as they get them.
Unfortunately as I am writing this the email has not come yet, but maybe by the
time I finish it will be in. Part of me wants to see other parts of Perth, but
I love Heathridge so I am good no matter what happens. This week our
investigator has been struggling. We pushed back her baptism date back a week
because she has struggled with smoking. We had a really good lesson with her
last night that was focused on praying when we need help. The Spirit was really
strong.
So I just got the
transfer update. I am going north of my area to an area called Butler. The
biking part of it is a small area, but it goes up north to an area called
Yanchep. I will be in the Mindarie ward which is supposed to be a great ward. I
am really excited to be going up there. They also have some baptism dates up
there which will be nice to work with those. Another plus is there is a park up
there that has koalas, so hopefully I will have a chance to go up there for
P-day sometime.
Sorry not much to say
this week, it was a bit slow and it has not been a full week. Next week I
promise to write a lot about my new area and companion. I do hope that you use
Preach My Gospel more, it is an amazing book. I think all members should use
it, to know at least a little about the lessons so they can talk to their
friends about it, or to help the missionaries. And there are really good parts
of it that can be applied to everyone. That would be a great way to help the
youth start to prepare it to introduce them to Preach My Gospel. I regret not
spending as much time as I should have studying it before I left, and this year
I am going to make sure to study it every day, and to make sure to study it
effeciently.
I love you so much
Elder Cook
